FOOD.......................?

Im starving and am looking for something to cook something quite nice experimental maybe!


Any ideas are welcome :)|||make a stir fry! Chop whatever veggies you have on hand. Cube up whatever meat or tofu you have as well. Start the meat/tofu first in a pan or wok with oil. Once that browns up, toss in the veggies. Season it with whatever spices you have (I like garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, basil, tarragon, sea salt, oregano, etc). While this is cooking, quickly boil up a pot of rice or noodles. Eat the stir fry over the rice or noodles. This is a very flexible dish!|||have a sub|||ummmm chicken fillet stuffed with mozzarella and wrapped with parma ham hmmm good stuff :)


or maybe bagels with maple syrup (not my thing but my bro loves them)|||bacon sandwich|||chicken or eggplant parm|||My friend has just given me a lentil dhal recipe which I am planning on cooking for lunch:





50g butter


1 onion


275 g tomatoes (tinned)


1 desert spoon tomato puree


25g grated fresh root ginger


1 fresh green chilli


2 tsps garam masala


1 tsp tumeric


175g lentils


1l stock





(I don't have all the available spices so am just using the ones that I have; I'm sure you could do the same).


. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is soft. Stir in tomatoes and puree. Cook for 20-25 mins. Add ginger, chilli and spices. Then add lentils and stock. Cook for approx 15-20 minutes until lentils are fluffy.
