I am 15 years old and I am into big muscles on my arms and chest. But I am unsure of what food to eat after the workout. I know that carbohydrates, protein and energy packed food is good, but most of those can be expensive. Any ideas?|||Building muscle does not have to be expensive. Lean protein such as turkey, chicken breast or eggs, diluted fruit juices and B vitamin complex are great natural ways to increase muscle! In general, B vitamins are good for nerve function, immune system enhancement and support and increase the rate of metabolism. Natural sources come from meats and beans. If you take it as a supplement be careful and follow the recommendations for dosage on the bottle because overdose of some of the B vitamins can be dangerous.
Best of luck to you!|||First of all, make sure you work all of your muscles evenly, otherwise you could have some serious physical issues, mainly spinal alignment.
second, the best thing you could do within thirty minutes of a good muscle building workout is eat 20 grams or more of protein. It doesnt need to be name brand, just have the protein. Eggs, chicken, turkey, and nuts were my favorites when i was lifting hard. |||When you work out a lot, make sure that you eat foods (I know this seems weird) with fat in them. In order to burn fat, you have to eat fat. So foods like nuts are great because they have so much protein and a little bit of fat. My personal favorite is honey roasted almonds.
Also, fruit salads are great just as a snack before the workout because its not too heavy. |||protein is good afterwards if you want to build muscle. as for expenses...just buy a carton of eggs and make an omelet
