What is the best type of food to feed 5 week old kittens?

They've tried eating dry cat food but I'm worried they will choke. Are they old enough to eat food? If so, should I feed them wet cat food or soaked dry food? Does it make a difference? Or is it okay to let them eat the dry stuff?|||Wet food is the most beneficial regardless of age. Are they already stopping to nurse from mom? This should be a natural transition, don't try to force them to eat the wet if they still want to nurse from mom. She will wean them herself eventually when they are ready. Get a high quality, grain free wet food and keep it available most of the time (wet goes bad if left out too long, so use your judgement). They will need lots and lots of food tho as they grow, so make sure they have it if they are hungry. Hope this helps, don't forget to get everyone spayed/neutered asap!!|||all the litters of cats ive had i always feed them dry food at 5 weeks maybe if your worried about them choking try some water mixed in with the food! good luck|||Here is a good article about raising kittens, including what to feed them:

When selecting a cat food, be sure to read the label. Look for the first ingredient(s) to be real meat (no meal or by-products). Ideally you want high protein, low carb, %26amp; grain free. The better they eat, the healthier they'll be.

Innova Evo is a great brand:

So is regular Innova:

Wellness %26amp; California Natural are also good brands.

Good luck! :)
